GUIDELINES FOR PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS Applications for Albury Ski Club membership are considered at Committee level during meetings held on the third Tuesday of each month. The following guidelines will help you to meet the necessary requirements before your application for membership can be considered: 1. Applicants should have stayed at either of the Lodges at Falls Creek or Thredbo, for a total period of at least seven (7) nights during the Albury Ski Club's official winter season. [At least three (3) nights must be consecutive at the Falls Creek Lodge and not as a unit occupant and cannot be accumulated by weekend usage only.] 2. Applications are only considered from prospective members who reside within an 80km radius of the Post Office at Albury. However, applications will also be considered from the Spouse/Partner or child of a current member who has moved outside the qualifying radius. 3. All prospective adult members are required to attend a working bee. There are usually two at Falls Creek, in March and May and one at Thredbo, also in May. Your nominating member can provide you with further details.   4. Through your nominating member you must seek introduction to Committee members and be familiar with the basic daily running of both the Falls Creek and Thredbo Lodges. 5. The following is a table of the current fees (including GST) associated with successful membership applications and which are required to be paid in full within two (2) months of being advised by the committee of approval of membership: MEMBERSHIP    JOINING FEE   ANNUAL SUBS Adult                $2,450.00       $270.00 Junior               $1,225.00       $130.00 6. Current Lodge Rates including GST are as follows: Summer nightly rate Member Adult   $20.00 Member Junior  $10.00 Winter nightly rate Member Adult   $50.00 Member Junior  $25.00 Winter Saturday night only Member Adult   $100.00 Member Junior  $50.00 Falls Creek Summer Exclusive Whole Lodge rate - $770.00 per night Falls Creek Summer rate over 25 where exclusive use is not required - a discount of 20% will apply on total cost of occupancy. Current Unit Rates (2010) including GST are as follows: Summer nightly rate Member Adult   $20.00 Member Junior  $10.00 Winter nightly rate Member Adult   $50.00 Member Junior  $25.00 Note: a minimum charge of $150.00 per night applies to unit bookings.   Booking Rules applied at discetion of Booking Officer. 7. Candidates for membership must be proposed and seconded by Adult members of the Association. Only existing financial members who have been a Member of the Association for at least one (1) year shall be eligible to propose or second a candidate for membership. 8. The accompanying checklist and application form must be completed and submitted to the secretary fourteen (14) days before any monthly committee meeting by the proposing or seconding member and must be accompanied by a covering letter of recommendation.
